Why I'm Building in Public
I've been a developer for a while now, but I've always kept my projects close to the chest. That changes today.
yanbuilds is the umbrella under which I'm shipping apps, writing about the process, and sharing what I learn. The first project is Bloomlings — a kids app designed to gamify healthy eating habit formation.
Why build in public?
There are a few reasons:
- Accountability. When you tell people what you're working on, you're more likely to follow through.
- Community. Other builders are going through the same struggles. Sharing helps everyone.
- Documentation. Future me will thank present me for writing things down.
What to expect
I'll be writing about:
- The technical decisions behind the apps I build
- Business and product strategy as a solo developer
- Tools, frameworks, and workflows that make my life easier
If any of that sounds interesting, stick around. This is just the beginning.
